WELCOME TO SHIZEL

I began showing dogs in 1998 at 4 years old, with a friends Golden Retriever in Junior Handling. Since then I have continued to show many different breeds in Jr Handling and in all breed conformation ring. I have retired from the Jr Handling ring and currently handle and groom many breeds.

My first love was the Shih Tzu, I acquired my first Shih Tzu from Wenrick Kennels in 2003. I then bred my first litter in 2005 which resulted in 2 out of 4 champions under the prefix Shizel - 'Shi' for my first breed and 'zel' for my middle name Elizabeth. My true passion are poodles, I purchased my first toy poodle 'Adam' from Innovation Poodles and showed him to TOP FIVE toy poodle for 2007! In December of 2007 my second poodle was purchased from Innovation. She is a beautiful white female 'Fleur'. I completed Fleur's championship in March of 2008 with multiple breed wins over specials. My most memorable win with her was BEST OVERALL JUNIOR HANDLER at Poodle Club of America. I then acquired my third poodle, a miniature 'Jewel' from Nancy Musters of Duenna Poodles. I completed her championship quickly with group placements. Unfortunately she passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 2009. R.I.P my sweet girl. I fell in love with the breed and wanted to have another. In September of 2009 'Lordi' came into my life all the way from Berlin, Germany. She is very special to me because as she was Jewel's mother. I now co-own her with Nancy Musters and Jeanette Hagen of Holland. We bred Lordi in October 2010 to AM CH Kiyara The Recruit TP "Collin" a very handsome black male from Florida. I took the pick female 'Digit' and I am very excited to show and breed her in the future.

I am currently breeding and showing miniature poodles with Nancy Musters and co-breeding and showing miniature schnauzers and portuguese water dogs with my parents. To date I have over 20 home bred champions and look forward to many more. I thank Nancy for entrusting me with Lordi as the foundation of Shizel Miniature Poodles.
