We are a small family run hobby breeder
in Moffat, Ontario. Our dogs are our personal companions first, and show
dogs second. They sleep on our couch, beds, swim in our pool and are a
big part of our every day lives. My husband Herb and our kids, Andrew and
Sara (hence the name Drewsar),are active in the daily care and training of
our dogs and puppies.
We were introduced to this wonderful breed 10 years ago and purchased
our foundation girls in 2002 from “Ferncliff Portuguese Water Dog Kennels
in Mississippi, USA. "Nina" had our first PWD litter in May 2004, nine beautiful
pups in the litter resulted in 7 Canadian Champions with 2 Best Puppy in Show,
3 Best Puppy in Group, Multiple Group placements. “Nellie”, our first Champion
from the litter was awarded Best of Opposite Sex at the 2006 PWD Club of
Canada National Specialty.
"Nina" now has *8* Canadian Champions and *2* American Champions.
We are members of the Canadian and American Portuguese Water Dog Clubs
and a member in good standing with the Canadian Kennel Club
since 1991.
I am the PWD Rescue Coordinator for Canada.
We enjoy studying pedigrees, allowing us to follow a strict breeding program.
Drewsar dogs are well known for their quality bloodlines. All of our dogs
participate in conformation showing and many are Canadian Champions. Health stats on our
dogs are available upon request.
We are located approximately 35 minutes from the Toronto International Pearson
Airport > just 7 minutes northwest of Guelph Line (Exit 312)
off Hwy 401 < just 10 minutes west of Milton >and 10 minutes south of Guelph.
